AMUSEMENTS.

! HIS HAJESTY'S THEATRE. There was another good attendance at His Majesty's Theatre last evening, when the ; popular drama, "Why Men Love Women," was presented. To-night will be the last opportunity for the public to witness this | piece. Tc-morrow night, the last night of I the season, the company will stage a new version of "East L-ynne," when Miss Frances Ross will be seen in th c emotional characters of Lady Isabel and Madame Vine. The piece will only be presented for one night, as the company leaves for Sydney on Monday. OPERA HOUSE. At the Opera House again last evening the concertina playing of Alexander Prince was heard. The closiag nights of this attraction are announced. The many other items were heard to advantage. WESTS PICTURES. The new Australian photo-play, "Ben Hall, a Tale of the Australian Bush," was witnessed by a large number at the Royal Albert HaU last evening. Two very toe dramatic pictures are included in "The Romance of a Policeman" and "A Stage Romance." The programme will be repeated this evening. KING'S THEATRE. The change of programme at King's Theatre last night attracted a very good audience. The star picture was that entitled "The Fall of Troy." The play was gorgeously mounted, and spleadidly acted. In a magnificent garden scene. Menelaus, the Greek King, was shown in a farewell scene with liis wife Helen. Then Paris arrived on the scene, and the incidents leading up to Helen's flight and the consequent declaration of war upon the Trojans were vividly shown. The assault on Hie city of Troy, and its ultimate sacking by the Greeks, provided material for a very fine cinematograph picture. A film of considerable interest was that illustrative of the gold mining industry In Sooth Africa. "Under the Union Jack" gave an idea ot the life and education of lads aboard a training ship. The Pathe Gazette contained lihe usual budget of interesting illustrated news. "A Stage Romance" was the title of a very good comedy-drama, and other good pictures were those entitled "The Lost llibbon," "Getting Even," 'The Test," and "Bill's .Little Plan." Mr. E. J. (Burkes orchestra gave a highly appreciated musical programme. There .will be a repetition this evening. f THE RINKS. The Windsor Rink was well attended last evening, when the winter weather added to the pleasure of skating. Usual sessions •to-day. | Skating was carried on briskly at the Royal Rink last evening. The usual sessions will be held to-day, and the presentation of prizes won on Wednesday will by made this evening. At Prince's Rink on Wednesday next the first grand carnival of the season will take place. The usual sessions will be lield today. The Glideaway Rink was attended by a large number of skaters last evening, and the popular pastime wag thoroughly enjoyed. The usual sessions will be held- today.
