A BIG CLAIM.
(Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, June 6. The Municipal Council of Johannesburg is suing D. Stewart and Company, Glasgow, and William Beardmore and Company, for £400,000 for failing to complete the installation of an engineering electrical plant. Stewarts maintain that the failure was due to the unsuitability of the coal used. Beardmores guaranteed Stewart's liability to the extent of £115,134.
