Welcome.—The winze was sunk to a depth of 20ft, and VSb ot picked stone were secured since tast report, making 351b in.hand. A flinty aeam.wss carrying gold, also strong blotches were seen in the quartz at the centre. Work in the winze was stopped, as the waier made progress too slow. ' ' Hnuj-nki -Reefs.—At No. 1 level the leading' stope' , east at the rise is in a 'total of 84ft. la No. 1 eiope the reef maintains its size, and good colours of gold have been "seen. In J{o. 2 stqpe the xeef is 9in wide and shows blotches of gold. Iα the leading stope west of rise the reef hae spliced, but is making again. No. 1 etope west—total S9ft; the reef Is 6in wide, and well mineralised. In No. 2 stope west a , few nice dabs of gold were seen. In No. 3 stope west the reef is 12in wide, and strong blotancs of gold seen in the quartz broken. The clean-up at the battery produced OToz 16dwt retorted gold from 40 tons of general dirt and &slb mt picked stone. Talisman Consolidated.—The report for the fortnight ending February 11, 1911, states that the north drive on Shepherd's reef.
