WIRELESS IN BRAZIL.
MARCONI BARRED. BERLIN, March 4. Brazil is making wireless telegraphy a Government monopoly. The German Telefunken Company has been oommi* sioned to erec£ six stations. Marconi's application for the concession was rejected, although he offered the Government not only lower rates than the rival firm, but 50 per cent of the gross earnings. The Argentine, Peru, Chili, and Uruguay are also taking the same step. They have ordered a number of Telefunken stations. Argentina's seven stations will cover the entire coastline.
