OTAHUHU.
The usual meeting of the Otanuhn Boad Board was held :n the Board's office on Thursday evening, the full Board being present, the chairman (Mr. John Todd) presidiag. With regard to repairs on the Por-tagp-road, it was not thought necessary to employ an engineer. Messrs. nayward aai Todd, In conjunction with two members of the ML Wellington Road Board, were »!>- ---pointed a committee to see to the carrying ont if the work. A letter was received from *be Hamilton Chamber of Commerce asking the Board to send delegates to a meeting to be held at Hamilton on Dec. 7 for the purpose of dlsrasslng a scheme !o connect the Walkato river with the Manukau and Auckland harbours. It was decided that Messrs. Brady, Graham, and Hay ward shooM reoreseDt the Board. A letter was received from a resident complaining of the unsatisfactory state of the drainage at the junction of and the Great I South-road. Mr. J. W. Andrew submitted I plans of the subdivision of the AlbloE estate, and offered, on behalf of the owner i I Mrs. Pikett), to give the Board lei feet lof land for the purpose of widening AlbionI lane. The Hoard decided to accept the I offer. i The second annual meeting of the Otahuhu Brass Ban-1 was held In the Mutualroom on Thursday. Nov. 24. The following officer's were ck-cfefl for the ensuing year:—President, l>r. Uowley (reelerted) ; vioe-nresidonts. same as last year: se-retary. Mr." A. Waddetl (re-elected) ; assistant secretary, Mr. C. Fraaer (reelected) ; treasurer, Mr. E. Rosewarne (reelected) ; auditors, Mr. S. E. Harper and Mr. C. Fraser: deputy bandmaster, Mr. A. Logan. The ballot for committee resulted In the following being elected : —Messrs. S. E. Harper. B. Mclndoe, J. Pallon, and officers ex-officio. OXAHUHTT BOWLING GBEEN.
