BOWLING'S. IMPRISONMENT.
SYDNEY, November 29. In the Xiegislative Assembly, Mr. Holman, challenged by Mr. Wade, produced papers referring to Peter Bowling's imprisonment, including a number of official reports in connection with the destruction of certain of the papers. A warm debate followed, during which Mr. Wade declared that Mr. Ilolman had tried to mislead the public into a belief that he had destroyed the papers, whereas the reports proved that they had been destroyed by officials in the usual way.' (Received 9.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. In the Assembly much bitterness was expressed during the discussion on the Bowling papers. Some personalities, indulged in during the elections, were hurled across the Chamber, and several times the Speaker had to interfere and cause remarks to be withdrawn. Mr. Wade caused an uproar by stating that Mr. Holman would have to be flogged into doing his duty.
