In <fche Waihi Police Court this morning a young man named Albert Hill "was charged with obtaining credit by fraud from local tradesmen to the extent of £(i 19/9; also with having failed to comply with the conditions of his release undter the Probation Act, having ibeen admitted to probation for theft on the 6th September last. Accused was sentenced to four months , imprisonment in .the Auckland gaol. An exhibition and carnival in aid of the school funds of ithe Beresfard-street Congregational Church will be open this evening, and continued on >th.c two following i.«*enlng«.
