THE PIPING BULLFINCH.
SIZE OF THE REEF. RICH ORE BODIES. PERTH, November 15. Mr. Doolette, the principal shareholder in the Bullfinch mine, states that 135 tons of ore from the mine has yielded 28350z. As all the ore treated was from development work, it was a remarkable result. In the small amount of development that had been done they had opened up ore of the value of nearly half a million. The reef had proved to be of very large size. In addition to this rich ore body they had numerous other lodes; apparently of great size and value. In sinking for a water shaft they had struck 350z stone. Hβ anticipated no difficulty in the treatment of the ore. Survey fees amounting to £3500 have already been paid in connection with the Bullfinch field. RECORD AUSTRALIAN FLIGHT. (Received 11.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, this day. M. Cugnet, the visiting French aeronaut, flew six miles in seven minutes, an Australian record for the distance.
