WELLINGTON, this day. The High Commissioner has cabled the following market report from London, dated November 12: — Quotations, unless otherwise stated, are average market prices on spot. Mutton.—The market is dull of sale for all qualities. Stocks on hand are light and firmly held in few hands. River Plate mutton is in large supply, and is being strongly pushed for sale. River Plate, a 3-8 d; Canterbury. 4Jd; North Island, 4d. Lamb.—Offerings are in moderate quantities. ;Priees nominally are: Canterbury, 5Jd; other than Canterbury, sfd; Australian (new season's), 5Jd. Beet. —There is better demand, but supplies of Stiver Plate beef are heavy. New Zealand hindquarters, 3§d; fores, 2£d. Butter.—The market is quiet, but rather steadier. Lower prices have encouraged much, better demand for best quality. There is no demand for poorer grades. The Turakina'B shipment arrived in good condition. Choicest New Zealand butter, 110/; Australian, 106/; I>anish, 115/; Siberian, 103/. Cheese.—The market is quiet, but firm, and the demand is improving, but prices are unchanged. Canadian, 57/ per cw-t. Hemp.—The market is dull, and dependent on Manila reports. New Zealand good to fair, on spot, per ton, £24; fair grade, £21; Manila, £20; forward shipment of New Zealand good to fair, £23 10/; fair, £20 10/; Manila, £20. The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. The stock of New Zealand hemp is 348 tons. Cocksfoot Seed.—The market is quiet Stocks have been much augmented by recent arrivals from (New Zealand New Zealand bright clean seed, weighing 171bs per bushel, is 76/ per cwt Wool.—The market is firm, with a hardening tendency.
