AMERICA AND MEXICO.
ILL FEELING CONTINUES. (Keceived 9.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, November 13. While defending his home at Guadalajara, Mexico, Carlo 3 Carothers shot a Mexican lad, a gendarme and others. He surrendered when the mob dispersed, and i was taken to gaol. The incident led to subsequent rioting. The Chief of Police, Mr. Temple, has been shot dead by a Mexican, at Anadarks, Oklahoma. The assailant escaped, but the townspeople are chasing him, and if caught it is probable that he ■will be lynched. The Mexican Government intends conducting an independent investigation into the Texas lynching affair. The authorities in Washington announce the receipt of Mexico's profound regret at the violence against Americans, and a promise to punish the offenders.
