PORTUGUESE AMNESTY.
(Received 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, November 13. Reuters Lisbon Agency reports tbat the recent amnesty includes Senator Franco (ex-Dictator) and his colleagues. To commemorate the inauguration of the Republic, a gazette was published announcing that an amnesty would be granted to all political offenders, and that the sentences of criminals would be reduced by a third. One of the most welcome results of the new regime is the prospect of a speedy abolition of slavery in all the Portuguese colonies.
