OTA GO ASSOCIATIO-X. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Otago .Lawn Tennis Association last night a motion was adopted agreeing to the principle of a paid secretary for the New Zealand association, ■but expressing the opinion that the present time was inopportune and preferring the question of representation being first placed on a better footing. It -was resolved that 'the delegate to the annual meeting be instructed to move the abOTe as an amendment to the proposal made by the Management Committee, and in the event of it being defeated to move a further amendment that the salary of the secretary should not exceed £30, and should be paid Uv contribution from the associations on the basis of voting representation. It was further resolved that the 'New Zealand Association be ■written to and informed that the Otago Association did not agree with the principle of the Ne*w Zealand L/a-wn Tennis Association secretary travelling to control New Zealand championships when held in other places than Wellington. A letter was received from the New Zealand Association asking if the Otago Association would put in a claim for the New Zealand championships, but it was decided to reply that the association did not wish for the tournament, as the council had decided to hold it in Wellington.
