Other humorous films were "Foolshead's Cannon , Duel" and "Tontolini as a Toreador." The ixcellent programme will be shown nightly, ST. MART'S COXVEXT COXCERT. A sacred concert in aid of the Mater Misericordiae Hospital fair was given at St. Mary's Convent. Ponsonby, yesterday, afternoon. In view of the Inclement weather there was a good attendance, and the entertainment was thoroughly appreciated. Pleasant renderings of numbers by favourite composers were given by tlie choir of St. Patrick's Cathedral, under the oou.luetorship of Jlr P. F. Hlscocks, vnd-solo , parts were taken by Misses C. Lorrigan, KcCaHerty and E. Carrigan, and Messrs P. Adeane, P. Con-way, F. G. Bourke, and I. 11. Egan, while the First Battalion Band gave a number of selections. Hr H. Hl3cocks acted a3 accompanist.

PRIXCE'S RINK.

A large number of people Indulged Iα the popular pastime of rinking at tile Prince.'s Rink on Saturday night last. The floor presented an animated appearance, and the music supplied by the band lent zest to the proceedings. The rink is open every afternoon and evening, and there, will be a special attraction on Wednesday night nest in the shape of a grand poster carnival, when a record attendance is anticipated" The management announce that prizes will be given for poster and fancy dresses, graceful skaters and the most comical character taking part in the competitions. Mr Goiiard, assisted by several lady patrons, •will give an exhibition of finished skating. Additional seating accommodation, is being provided for onlookers. THE GI^IDEAV/AY. The GUdeawgy Kink, In Cobnrg-street, was well patronised on S-atnrday. night. The third night of th e carnival will take place to night, and the rink will be open every afternoon and evening during the -week. The Windsor Skating Rink, a new and up-to-datu building in Poneonby-rd., near, the Three Lumps, will be formally opened by Mr C. H. Poole, M.P., to-night. A large number of invitations have been issued, aud it is expected that the rink will be taxed to its utmost rapacity for the ocassion.
