Supplies of rifles are being brough '■ into the country for the Republicans . I and there is other evidence of the pr< i parations that arc in progress. : Monsignor Tenti, the Papal Nuncie - has proved most objectionable to the R( 5 publicans, and as many plots again? - him have been discovered he has take > refuge in a fortress. = The general unrest prevailing in Poi - tugal is added to by the fact that tl: -1 elections take place next Sunday.
