KURDS ON THE WARPATH.
AVENGING A MTTKDEH,. LONDON, August 24. Following tbe murder of a Kurdisl chieftain, Mitga Kervali, the Kurdisi tribes in the Urumiah district, Persiar Armenia, have declared open war. They attacked about a dozen villages all of "which were destroyed. A hundred villagers were put to death the most horrible atrocities being per petrated upon the women. A force of Persian troops that was scut to deal with the Kurds was driver back after a desperate battle.
