CANADIAN E»KE3VHEH,'S OPINIOK VANCOUVER, August 22. Speaking in Victoria last night, the Canadian Premier. Sir Wilfrid Laurier, said he did not believe that the people were in favour of tlio gift of a Dreadnought to the Motherland. His own opinion was that the nucleus of the new Canadian navy would prove of <rrcat service not only to the Dominion bu£ also to the Australian and other fleets of the Empire.
