RICHMOND DISASTER.
A JURY OF EXPERTS. DELAYING THE INQUEST. MELBOURNE, July 20. The inquest on the Richmond disaster will open before a coroner and a jury of seven, all of whom acted in a similar capacity in connection with the Braybrook accident. The coroner announced today that he proposed to probe to the bottom in the interests of the State and the public all the circumstances. The jury to-day viewed the wrecked trains and the scene of the accident, and then adjourned for a month. In the Legislative Assembly Mr. Prendergast strongly objected to the inquiry being postponed for a month. The matter demanded immediate investigation. j The Premier agreed with this view, I and undertook that the Attorney-General I would consult the coroner, with a view jto the expedition of the inquiry.
