AQUATICS.
NORTH SHORE ROWING CLUB. The annual "Prize Night" and "At home" in connection with the North Shore Bowing Club was held in the ilasonio Hall, Devonport, last night. In the absence of Mr W. J. Jvapier (president), who wm unable to be present at the commencement of the function, tlte chair \ras occupied by Mr W. Swinnerton. A splendid programme was presented, and thoroughly appreciated, the following contributing items: Mr Dixon, sons; Miss Storey, sons; Mr LockTvood, violin selection; Mr A. M-cElwain, humorous α-ecital; Miss Fuller, solo; Mr 0. B. Farrow, song; Misses M. Webb and B. Osborne acting as accompanists. All the contributors were enthusiastically received, and had to respond with encore numbers. The chairman distributed the followin-g trophies won during the season: President's trophies—L. 'Hunt, M. Harrison, L. Spinley aad H. Knight; club trophies—W. liogan, G. Buchanan, F. Bennett and B. Johnston; Subscription Trials—W. Losan, E. Ware, P. Robertson, L. Fraser and Manning; double sculls CMr H. H. Iteimer's trophies)—E. Bailey and 'H. Grubb; Challenge Cup nnd Mr H. Schmidt's trophies—G. Seagar, M. Harrison, Tj. Fraser, C. Weston, F. Tracer; pair-oar (Mr H. 0. Wiles' trophies)—R. Spinley and 0. Anderson; late Mr A. Kohn's trophies— 13. Bailey. M. Harrison, A. Powley, J. Blakey. F. Tracey; pair-oar CMr D. R. Phillips* trophies)—F. Bennett and A. Powley; con-> solation prize (presented by the captain for the most number of seconds in the finale) — A. Coltman; swimming cup (for inter-crnb competition, presented by Dr. Stuart Reid to the Auckland Rowing Club) —won for North. Shore Rowing Club by P. Weston, C. Clark, P. Warbrick, L. Weston. G. Bailey, W. Hand, O. Anderson ond A. Waddell; 75yds handicap for club members—R. Harvey 1, E. P. Ware 2; 250 yds handicap for club members—G. Wynyard 1, E: P. Ware 2; 250-up billiard handicap (club trophies)—R. Heald 1. J. Jackson 2; 250-up (for Mr J. OdeGregory's trophies)—G. Cardno 1, R. Heald 2; 50-up, dash handicaps—F. Bennett, E. Wilkinson. H. Grubb, R. Heald and C. Alison. During the presentation of the trophies the President (Mr Napier) spoke feelingly of services rendered to the club by the late Mr A. Kohn. who for 12 years occupied the position of vice-president, and annually donated trophies for competition.; After supper had been served dancing was commenced* and continued till an early hour I this morning, Messrs Laing and Loctwood betas the pianists.
