MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

Km-anul Caledonian.—The drive on the 60uth leader, Monnatniarl tunnel, is In 34ft east of the crosscut. The leader has pin-h----ed rather small. A little antimony has been seen, which is a good indication for gold. The rise for this leader is up 30 feet on the footwall of the cross reef. A drive north has now been started to pick up the leader. In No. 2 stope, the All Nations leader has shown nice patches of mineral, but only a few colours of gold were seen. Thames.—-Air boxes have been placed in position for an additional 200 feet, making a total of 700 feet. Kapanga.—Whilst cleaning out the drive going north on the Kapanga reef, several pieces of nice-looking quartz were got and the manager considers there is every indication of gold being in the locality. Unw.iteilng to the 550 level has been started. Old naoraki—At the 400 feet level driving seaward has been resumed on the newreef. Very little quartz has been broken down, but the indications are favourable. No. 1 stope is along 50 foet from the rise, aud SOlbs of picked stone were got. No. 2 stope is along 13 feet, and produced lOlbs of picked stone. No. 3 stope, No. 2 rise is along 33 feet, and yielded 201bs of picked stone. No. 4 stope is along S feet from the rise, and produced 51bs of picked stone. No. 7 reef should junction with the newreef now at any time. The leading «tope on the new reef at the 300 feet level is along 55 feet and from the rise 36 feet produced lOOlbs of picked stone. At the 220-foot level the indications are more favourable. At the battery the general dirt stews about the same value as last month. Uoanataiari —At the Cambria No. 4 level the yoi-tioii bearing away in the footwall leader fnm the main body was driven 041 for 15 feet, but as no gold was seen, the drive has been discontinued. The ri.-se is up Aye feet. The reef is four feet in width, and colours of gold have been seen in the quartz. ICuranui. — At the Blyth low level , the leader should be intersected from the intermediate west of the winze. The reef system on the east side of the shaft is intact. Golden Pah.—ln the main drive at the SO-foot level, the leader is about three Itches wide, and is well mineralised. At the intermediate drive the lender in the leading stope it- 8 inches wide and looks well. Golden Cross.—The face was Pitewled 40 feet for the week. The reef is' improving, and dish tests gave n good tail of gold in the dish.

Talma Broken Hills.—The Chamber reef formation is wider than the drive. It has now split into three sections. Tie main portion is about six inches wide, of nicelooking quartz. Both this and the hangingwall rib carry small prospects of gold. Kapowai.—Payable ore is being yon at the present time, but there is not sufficient on hand to warrant running the battery. The intermediate is going west on a payable seam. As on the cros3 Teef, payable gold was got right to the floor of No. 2 level. The manager has no doubt it will continue down. Hauraki Reefs.—The drive on the reef at the intermediate level Is now in 20 feet west of the rise. The reef, which was spilt up last week, is vow together again, being about four to six inches wide, and a few nice dabs of gold have been seen. In tve old No. 2 level work has been confined to cleaning up the drive, and there is yet about 20 feet more to clean out and timber before we get the solid face. No. 1 level. Welcome Find shaft: The reef' has been driven on for 12 feet since storting, and seems now to be making more defined quartz, and the country is improving.
