UNIVERSITY TEAaiJVVELOOMBD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Friday. The Calif ornian Universities'' football team arrived in Wellington by the' Warrimoo from Sydney, to-day Over 2,000 persons attended the reception at the Town Hall this afternoon. .. The Mayor (Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P.), who presided, accorded the visitors a hearty reception. His . remarks ,were seconded by Mr. G. F. Campbell, vicepresident of the New Zealand Rugby Union. Mr. J. Burling, manager of the visiting combination, and Mr. C. Cerf,. captain, expressed their warm appreciation, of the hearty reception accorded them.
