ATTACKS ON SOUTH POLE. BRUCE AND ITLCHNEK EXPEDITIONS. LONDON, July 15. Lieutenant Filchner, leader of the German scientific expedition to the Antarctic, will have only one ship, and will work westward from Coats Land. Dr. Bruce's Scottish expedition will work from Coats Land eastward.
