ISLAND STEAMER MISSING.
OVERDUE AT SYDNEY. HER LIFEBOAT SIGHTED. A CASUALTY FEARED. I (By Cable.—Frees Association.—Copyrlfillt.) ' (Received 9.20 a.m.) SYDNEY, this day. The steamer Waddon is overdue at Sydney from Ocean Island with a cargo of phosphates. Last night the steamer Wonga Fell, which is not due at Sydney till the end of the month, called at Cape Moreton and reported having passed the Waddon'a lifeboat. ■ The message is very meagre, but it is feared that it indicates a serious casualty to the steamer. The Waddon, a vessel of 3931 tons, is bound from Ocean Island to Sydney for orders.
