THE ECLIPSE STAKES. A DEAD HEAT. (Received 8.15 a.m.) LONDON, July 15. The Eclipse Stakes, of 10,000sovs, run at Sando-wn Park to-day, resulted:— Mr. Fairies b c Lemberg, 3yrs, by Cyllene—Gallicia • Lord Rosebery's eh c Neil Gow, 3yrs, by Marco —Chelandry * Mr. W. Hall Walker's b c Placidus, 3yrs, by Cyllene—Jean's F011y.... 3 * Dead heat. After a great race between the two crack three-year-olds, the pair flashed past the post locked together. The judge being unable to separate them, a dead heat was declared for the first time in the history of the race.
