MOHAMMEDANISM'S SPREAD
IN AFBICA AND OCEANIA. NEW FIELDS OR OLD. (Received 8.55 a.m.) LONDON, June 16. One of the most striking subjects discussed by the Missionary Conference related to the spread of Mohammedanism in Africa, Southern Asia, and Oceania. The commission urged that the conference should exert strenuous activity in these directions. It also discussed whether a church should go to a practically unoccupied field or first enlarge its activities where it is already working, also the relative importance of the conversion of individuals compared with bringing communities under Christian influence. The desirability of educating native evangelists and of the co-operation of different missionary organisations was , also discussed.
