The Grey Lynn Borough Council met last night. .. Present: Mr W. J. Holdswortli (Mayor), —-s. H. Schofield, W. Duncan, G. 3. Garland, J. A. 'Warn-—., G. Balldon, C. . Norgrove, T. L. Thompson, 'J?. L. Rowland. Richmond-road.— City Engineer reported' re protecting ratepayers' property In Richmond-road, that whei-?. possible the ground would be graded where retaining, walls were required. These would be constructed of rubble, with the top course of cement. It was agreed to -forward a copy of the report to the deputation that waited upon the Council. • Camp, ellrt— d.The En.rfneer was instructed to report re a-pp-li— from C. B. Short and others, for woi_; In Campbellroad. Wilton-street.Mr H. Fraser was the only tenderer for work in I—street, price ■£— 13/4. As the Bngincera estimate was £60 15/, the matter was referred to the Finance Committee. Grey Lynn Bowling Club.—The Engineer recommended that a rubble retaining wall be erected by the Council - where the filling to was to take place in front of the Grey ■-.ynn bowling green. -This was approved.
