EARTHQUAKE AT WANGANUI.
WANGANUI, Monday. A sharp shock of earthquake was experienced at 6.2 this morning. :— i M3SOET/LANBOUS PEEMS. ' C—_ISTCHURGB[, this day. ! A woman named Benson was fined £20 in Court to-day for having sold liquor without a license. She kept a small re-1 staurant in the city. Decision in several cases of per-1 sons charged with trespassing on car-1 ton racecourse has been postponed pending an appeal by the Canterbury Jockey Club against the recent decision of the Magistrate on the question at issue.
