RAILWAY TIMETABLES.

*. ___ ■ I ,* (&__ Telegraph. Association.) ' W___—_TON, Monday. Some time ago, as a result of repre- ' sentataons - from..various Ghanubers of 'Commerce of' -towns■ oh the Welling— New Plye—tut and Wellington-Napier lines, ■ the Minister for Bail-ways agreed to delay for about an hour the departure of the -trains leaving Wellington for New Plymouth and.for Napier. It was urged by the local -bodies that' this would enable a more .-satisfactory service to bo run between the East and West Coasts. It is -understood, however, that the new timetable, which will be issued in the course of a day or two, will be practically a reversion to the old timetable, so far as the New Plymouth and Napier lines are con--—-.red. The former timetable suited the Railway D-par-ment very well, and now that —ere appears to be no'great desire to try to alter the old arrangement in regard to the East and West Coast connection, the Minister has definitely decided to revert to son—• i thing very near the fonmer timetables.
