HOUSEBREAKERS CAPTURED.

At the Police Court to-day Reginald Lawson, aged 21, and Anthony Reubeti Anderson,. ■ aged 16; pleaded - guilty to | several charges of house-breaking and theft between November" last and the preterit . month.. _~ Over £310 4/ worth of i goods, mostly jewellery, was taken, but property of the value of £200 4/ had i been recovered. . Some of the property i had been; pawned. Both lads were commit— for sentence. Chief-Detective Herbert stated that j there were 22 charges in all. Accused were jointly charged on 15 informations for breaking and entering and theft. I From, two .of the places nothing was I stolen, but in the other 13. thefts were , committed. Anderson was charged alone i with three offences of breaking and enter- | ing and with theft from a dwelling. Lawson alone was charged on three , counts with theft from a dwelling. The ' last offence was committed by Anderson on March 15, when he was out on bail and knew that 15 other charges were hanging over his head. A great deal more of the property would have been recovered but for the fact that the offenders had destroyed it. Some money also had been taken, which had been spent.- .-' -;•
