FULL-WEIGHT.
CTo the Editor.) Sir, —The fruit hawkers profess to sell at low price, but what of the weight they give? Some time ago, for 1/worth of apples I only got instead of olbs, and lately a friend of mine, who bought 2/- worth of pears at 2d. per Ib., only received 91bs. instead of 121bs.—one bag of 41bs. and another of slbs., instead of two Gib. bags. In justice to honest shopkeepers, and as a protection to a too confiding public, the police should make an example of the first one caught cheating in such a mean fashion.—l am, etc., PATERFAMILIAS.
