"N.Z. TIMES'" PRIZE COMPETITIONS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. Very great interest was taken in the"New Zealand Times'" voting contest, which .closed last night. Several thousands people thronged the streets outside the "Times" office to hear the result, which was announced shortly after 11 o'clock by Mr. T. M. Wilford, M.P. The friends of Miss Maud Bbdmin, a resident of Lower Hutt, .who is employed in the Treasury Department, Wellington, worked very hard throughout the day, and their efforts were successful. The principal results of the contest are as follows:—First prize, trip round the world, Miss Bodmin, 3,174,515 votes; second prize, piano value a hundred guineas, William Webb, Wanganui, < 1,557,215 votes; third prize, motor cycle, value £ 60, E. Gallichan, Wellington, 1,218,193 votes; fourth prize, trip round Australia, E. A. Connelly, Petone, 1,059,255 vote; fifth prize, gold value £20, E. T. Taylor, Wellington, 714,180 votes. .
