A meeting, of the committee appointeS by tie General Council of the Vietori* League, to inquire into the condition, of, the graves of soldiers and others who have rendered service to the Empire, was held at St. David's Hall, Kyber Pass, on: February 15th, the Eev. W- Gray Dixon in the chair. A scheme of work was adopted, and a sub-committee -was appointed to report concerning the condition of the graves of soldiers buried ia Symonds-atreet* Onehunga and Howick , Cemeteries. It is intended to interest settlers in the various country districts where other such graves are, with the object of attempting to remedy the exiafc* ing sfate of neglect. In Tauranga a branch of the Victoria League is being farmed for the purpose.
