GREEN LANE DRAINAGE.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —(May the writer draw the attention of intending residents in this place to the yearly floods of storm-water from the One-tree Hill district, for which the Remuera Road Board provide no escape beyond that afforded by Mapau and Marewa-roads, which are impassable in heavy rain, besides flooding and damaging property in these roads? Tho Remuera Road Board has, I believe, several times promised the residents to afford them relief from thi3 nuisance, but each Beason comes and goes, and nothing is done (except collect the rates). The above nuisance is a disgrace to any board, especially one on the borders of Auckland, into the control of which I trust it will one day be taken. Any change would be better for the inhabitants in place of an effete Road Board. —I am, etc., GREEN LANE.
