(To the Editor.) , S,T »—ln reply to your correspondent Bora Fostus," in Wednesday's issue, 1 would like to say respecting Ids references to night-soil removal that the disgusting methods of dealing with the sanitary services in many local districts lis worthy the attention of all who have tho best interests of the health of Auckland and surrounding areas at heart, and that the methods in voa_ e are at fault and not tho innocent vendor of milk—who, like "Bora Postus," has no more control over the management of sanitary arrangements than any other individual citizen. These insanitary vehicle ore to be met with rts late as between five and six o'clock in the morning, and are a standing disgrace to tho local authority concerned, and the sooner an improvement is made the better for everybody. If tlie residents of a large suburban district ore not to have any vendors of milk going round until the offensive waggons or carts referred to have disappeared, it will be a gTeat inconvenience to thorn, and a source of worry and annoyance to the vendors of ■milk, as most people insist on bavin"their milk in time for breakfast, which Is not at all an unreasonable thin" to expect, and if the time of sta.rbing° the delivery of milk is to be regulated by the vagaries of the sanitary services, much injustice and great indignation will surely follow.
