Steadily the bushes in the Kaipai* are being denuded of timber, and it seems a great pity (writes.oar correspondent) that the Government does not avail itself of present opportunities to plant new areas of forest, and so keep up supplies of timber for the future. Surely this is a matter that must appeal to our Chambers of Commerce. The directors of the Waitemata Fruitgrowers' Co-operative Society, Limited, have declared a dividend of 10 per cent, payable on the Ist of next March.
