CAUGHT ON THE THRESHOLD.
"PASSENGER'S LUGGAGE" THAT DID NOT PASS. (Received 9.25 a.m.) CALCUTTA, January 30. I A Hindu passenger, who arrived by the Eteamer Sydney from Marseilles, was arrested at Bombay, and found to be carrying a revolver. A prescription for making bombs and a number of seditious pamphlets were discovered in a false-bottomed box. He was sentenced to two and a-half years' imprisonment for importing arms without a license.
