CARLTON BOWLING CLUB'S ANNUAL MEETING.

. •- I The annua' meeting of members of the Carlton Bowling Club was held last night !n the Club House, the President (Mr Haresnape) being If. the chair, and the atendance being about 25 The reports of the Comimttee and President were read and adopted, the former setting forth that from October 31, 1908, the opening day of the past season, till the close, everything had prospered. The new green was opened, and met with the unanimous approval of the members, while the generally excellent way in which the greens had played, reflected great credit on the green superintendent and caretaker. The club came out well In the Northern Bowling Association's tournament, while In the A P.B.A. tournament the team won the champion fours, and in the Interclub matches, Carlton won nine ont of ten games, coming ont on top. The club's Easter tournament was a great success. The result of the club matches were as follows: —Champion: B. Wrathall, for the second year In succession. President's trophy: Mr Flower. Full Tluk: Messrs Laurie. Murray, On vies, and Jaffrey. Run-ners-up: Messrs Wrnthall. Packman, Frayllng, and Flower. Consolation prize: Mr Lamb. First-year players: Mr Flower. The club's finances were hi a very healthy condition, and members had every reason to feel satisfied with the financial position. The club's membership now stood nt 64 full members. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President. Mr G. P. Murray: vicepresidents, Messrs Laurie and Cahlll: hon. secretsrv. Mr Lamb; hon. treasurer, Mr Laurie; "auditor. Mr .T. C. Baddlley; green superintendent. Mr J. Kllgonr; general committee, Messrs Cottle. McGregor, and Ronnvne; match committee, Messrs Kllgqur, Fletcher, and McGregor; N.B.A. delegate, Mr E. J. Hill: A.P.B.A. delegates, Messrs Laurie and Fletcher. It was decided to hold the annual meeting In future In June. Instead of July or August.
