■ . (Before Mr C C. Kettle, S.M.) A PROMISSORY NOTE. After the "Star" went to press yester-= day afternoon, the case James Hill v. Alfred W. Ellis, a claim for £H8 10/ under a promissory note, WBS ppnclpded. After heaping the evidence the magistrate gave .ludgnient for plaintiff for the amount clnimed with costs. Mr A. B. Bkelton appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Pullen for the defendant A BILL OF COSTS. The case, George William Basley (Mr Wyman) v. Edward Valdemar Jahansen (Mr Burton), a claim, for £15, the amount of a bill of costs, was concluded. The maglqtcate gave lodgment for the defendant with costs. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Orders were made in the following cases i —W. J. Vugtar v. W. Ackrpyd., £21 16/6; M. L. J. Lone v. W. Webb', £9 14/; F. C. Wallace v. W. Jessen, fl 15/; A Fielder v. Captain W. Stdnawhy, £1 8/; A. Buckland and Sons v. C. Hunter, £33 17/.. CLAIM FOR NURSING. Daisy Coutts claimed from Evan Tlckell the sum of £7 7/, fees alleged %o be due to her by defendant for nursing. Mr. Lundon appeared for plaintiff, and defendant conducted his own defence. Judgment was given for the amount claimed, with uostsj £1 10/.
