QUEENSLAND POLITICS.
BRISBANE, August 25. In the Assembly this afternoon Mr. Maughan resigned the Chairmanship of Committees. Mr. Kidston's motion for the suspension of the Standing Orders to enable the passage of the Appropriation Bill in one day was carried after debate by 36 votes to 35. The House is still sitting.
