SAD GUN ACCIDENT.
YOUTH ACCIDENTALLY -KILLED. By Telegraph.—Presß Association.) ASHBURTON, this day. A distressing gun accident, -which ended "la-tally, occurred at Mrteham yesterday afternoon, -the victim being -a lad 17 years iof age, .named John Booth, a apprentice. It appears that Booth was in "the act oi shooting fowts with a "breech-loading ,gun, and, being-anxious to save his last cartridge, which was in the gun, with the hammers "up, he picked up a .stone to hurl at some fowls on the j-oof of a shed. The gun accidentally exploded, and the full charge entered his light side- The lad was taken to Ashiburfcon Hospital, where he died at three o'clock this morning.
