WAIKATO VOLUNTEERS.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. The second regiment A.M.R. returned to Hamilton yesterday afternoon, after several days' training under active service conditions, during which they carried out a number of useful movements ln a most creditable manner. This morning the officers of the regiment proceeded to the Hamilton rifle range, where a competition for the Norden Cup took place, and resulted as follows:—Lieut. Danrell (A squadron), 53; Lieut. Henderson (C squadron), 53; Lieut. Blues: (C squadron), 50; Lieut. Bruce (A squadron), 44; Capt. Raynes (A squadron), 40; Lieut McCracken (E squadron), 40; Capt. Tattersall (B squadron). 32; Lieut. "Nicholson (B squadron), 29; Lieut. Bruce (D squadron), 27. Subsequently the regiment was inspected by Colonel Wolfe. Military sports were held this afternoon, aud a ball takes place to-night. *•
