B IG LOCK-OUT THREATENED. J50,000 MINERS INVOLVED. (Received 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 23. Coalmine owners announced at the (Jrth Wales Conciliation Board meeting their intention. to serve a month's notice o workers on the first oi June in connection with the Eight Hours Act, and to terminate contracts. The decision involves the lock-out of HO 000 men at the end oi June, unless a settlement is reached in the meantime. Lord St llwrn's decision as Conciliator in the case" has reduced the wages oi Welsh miners by 71 per cent.
