About a hundred persons attended, the sale of five South Canterbury pastoral runs yesterday- There was teen competition for tae small ran at Mount PeoL The resnlts oi the sale were as follow:—2T0O acres (£135 npset price) £303, A. Mackenzie (present lessee): acres fupset prTce £200}. £275, T. Blair (present lessee)- 12*0 acres <£100 npset price), £201. Andrew Brown; 585 acres (upset Drice. £73). £143, Dr. Knight (present lessee): 20,800 acres In the Black Forest, Mackenzie County, was taken at the npset price £468, by S. X- Smith (present lessee); 4800 'acres Tasman. Island (upset price, £481. £64, W. J. Black- In all cases the leases are for 21 years. (By Telesrapi- —Press Assocl*tloiU> CHBISTCHTTECH. Sunday. The pastoral leases offered tor sale by anction met with a disappointing demand. The sale was dull, and two of the smaller runs found no bidders, whilst in no case was the upset price exceeded. The total area offered was 172,534 acres, and the leases are for twenty years. The results were as follow:—ISO, John B. Scott: ISO, ilrs Janet Murrhison: 127, J. G. Scott: 180, T H, Scott: 181 and 22L Blanche Murray Arnsley (who owns tie adjoining freehold); IS3. A. E. Blrdlins; 103, no bid; 203, Florence ilaod Killian.
