ANCIENT ORDER OF FORESTERS. One of the largest meetings of the Order held In Auckland took place last night, when over 800 brethren assembled at Court Pride of Onehunga's courtroom. Promptly at V.SO the court was qpened. " when the district officers and the officers and' members of Court City of Auckland, Zealandia. Victoria, Nil Desperandum, Newmarket. Star of the South,- Birkenhead, Robin Hood, Waihi, as well as representatives iroui Otago New South. Wales, and Victoria, were admitted. D.M. Bro. Price occupied the chair, and seated on the dais were Bros. B. A. Kent, 1.P.D.C.8. (guest of the evening), and Rowlands, Neumegen, P.D.C.R-'s. After routine business,' the D.C.B. called upon P.D.C-A. Bro. Shaldrick,. permanent secretary, to make a presentation to Bro. Kent, on. beha.f or the members of Court Pride of. Onehunga. In handing Bro. Kent a goia albert and Foresters' emblem pendant. Bro. Shaldrick referred at length to the valuable services rendered the Order, and particularly Ouehunga, by Bro. Kent during the year, ma£ing special reference to the Introduction of tie hand-book, church, parades, special odes, and the re-operiing of one of the courts of the district. Complimentary speeches were made by toe members. Bro. Ktnc feelingly acknowledging the compliment. THe pendant bore the inscription:, "Presented to Bro. R. A. Kent, P.D.C.R-, by Court Pride of Onehunga, No. 5261, as a token of esteem February, 1909." The presentation being over, the Court adjourned, when a lengthy musical programme was gone ■ trough, ' a most enjoyable meeting terminating at eleven, o'clock. I . ■=====■. . .
