TWO LADIES KILLED.
A terrible accident happened on Saturday, February 22nd, on the road between Pyengana and Stoolumbia Falls, Tasmania. Mr. Anderson, of Goshen, was driving a trap and two horses, having Mrs. Anderson, Mrs- W. Msbet, Hiss Cronin, State school teacher at Goshen, and Mrs. Nisbet's two children as passengers, when a tree fell, killing Miss Cronin and Miss May Nisbet.instantly. Mrs. Nisbet had one of her lega broken in t*o places. Mr. Francis J. GrimstoTi, a young Englishman," who lately purchased a farm at Gosheu, was following the trap on a bicycle. The tree caught him also, and one of his , arms was broken in two places. Mr. Nisbet was riding behind the trap, and :' saw the tree falling, but could only shout to the occupants- The tree was about four feet thick at the butt, and was burned down by bush, fires. The ■ head of it fell on the trap.
