HARBOUR IMPROVEMENTS.
TENDERS FOR BIG WOEKS. Tenders were received by the Harbour Board to-day lor the electrical install*-, tion on the railway wbarf, and for tie erection of two steel sheds on the wharf. The following were received.for the electrical installation (engineer's estimate £3400): GeoTge and Stokes £3815 IS/7, A. and T. _ Buit £4300 17/6, Cro'.'her and Sons £3-57 I/, W Stokes and Co. £3694, Tuvnbull and Jones £3125, National Electric Engineering Co., Ltd., £4484 0/4. The whale of these tenders were referred to the Board in committee, the engineer and Mr. Wyllie (electrical engineer to the City Council) to report. Tsre following tenders were received for the erection of two st«el sheds on the Queen-street wharf (ngi, nee^ s mate £38,000): Anderson, Ltd. £ao,ioU, J. H. Adams arid Co. £33,828 11/8. Massey Bros., Ltd-, '£37 815 5/4, G. TVaser £44-539, Fraser and Sons £39.181 The tenders were referred to the Board in committee, the engineer to report.
