A church parade was held yesterday morning in connection with the Ancient Order of Foresters. The brethren assembled in regalia at the Foresters' Hall, Edinburgh-street, fit 10 a.m.. and marched in procession to St. Matthew's Anglican Church, where an appropriate sermon was preacher! by the Rev. W. E. Oillam. In the course of his remarks, the preacher was very severe upon the vice of gambling, which he characterised as the enemy of thrift, bringing untold degradation, shame, and poverty upon hundreds of women and children. In comparison to that he instanced the, thrift displayed by the members of the friendly societies. There was a large attendance at thfi service.
