EXTENSION TO LONDON. (Received S.lO a.m.) LONDCOT, November 25. At a dinner at the Hotel Cecil, in celebration of the Australian .Mutual Provident Society's extension of business ' Ito London, Lord Lamington, ex-Governor jof yueensland, Sir Felix Schuster, and I representatives of the leading insurance societies, were present. tiir Gilbert Parker, the well-known author, proposing the toast of the society, remarked that its wonderful methods would assuredly appeal to the conservative mind of the British public.
Mr. A. \Y. Meeks, ci Sydney, who presided, in responding, said the brancn was another link between the Commonwealth and the Motherland. He hoped it would help to make the wealth and progress of Australasia more widely known.
