INCENDIARISM IN NELSON

A fire, the third in 36 hours, occurred in Mr. Maitland's residence in Trafal-gar-street south late last night The circumstances point to incenftiarism, as a quantity of paper and refuse soaked with kerosene was found in a case in a corner of the outhouse Where the fire, started. The floor and walls also bore traces of kerosene. A housemaid heard someone running past her bedroom win-" dow, and informed Mr Maitland, who,, on going outside, found the outhouse on. fire. A few buckets of water sufficed to put out the fire, but meantime all trace of the trespasser was lost.
