Clrey Lynn, although only a young club in its new quarters, has ye.t. a, vigorous and enthusiastic raembe.rship, and claims now to rank third among local clubs in number of playing members. In its competition trophies it all takes great pride, several of them being bandsomp pieces, of workmanship. Recently Mr H. B. Fisher presented to his fellow-clubmen a boavtifiiliy chased silver urn. which is destined to the proprietorship of 'aim who irinmpbs this season in the handicap singles.

Indoor bowls, which found demonstration at the head-quarters of the London Caledonian Howling Club, Wimbledon, recently, seems likely to prove a striking success. The woods played with were about two-thirds the size, of j the ordinary bowl, and proved very true :to their bias on the felt rink. This now ' phase of the pastime appears to furnish an attractive recreation for the long ! niffhts of winter.
