WAIHI.
(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent) WAIHI. Saturday. An incipient (ire occurred last night at the Walhi Co.'s office, hut was extinguished with but little damage. The cycling season was opened this afternoon by a procession of cyclists In fancy costume. Subsequently a road race eventuated, and resulted in F. Slevin securing first place, and S. McMahon second. There was a splendid aitendance at the iawn tennis court this afternoon, when the season was opened under most favourable auspices.
